Bexar County Adult Detention Virtual Hearing Rooms Project

This project involved a complete renovation of the existing visiting rooms at the Bexar County Jail, transforming them from traditional face-to-face hearing spaces into modern virtual hearing rooms. The upgrade included the installation of new video conferencing systems, improved acoustics, secure data lines, and updated lighting to ensure clear communication between inmates and the court.

In addition to the visiting rooms, the project also included the renovation of an auxiliary courtroom. This space was redesigned to support virtual hearings as well, featuring updated audio-visual equipment, improved seating, and technology that allows judges, attorneys, and other court personnel to participate remotely while maintaining security and efficiency.

Overall, these renovations were designed to improve the court’s ability to conduct hearings quickly, safely, and efficiently, adapting to the growing need for virtual court processes.
